The Hidden Vista Subdivision is a new upscale neighborhood located on the northwest side of Emporia. With a nearby lake the lots were designed to include desirable views as well as allow for easy implementation of walk-out basements for future residents. There is a 50 FT elevation difference across the site because the tract is located on the side of a hill which made the layout of the streets, waterlines and storm sewer a challenge to design to allow for desirable street grades and acceptable drainage limits.

BG Consultants was contracted in the fall of 2017 to design the Sunset Zoo Parking Lot and North Service Road Improvements for the City of Manhattan.  The project design required coordination with multiple departments within the City of Manhattan:  Parks and Recreation, Public Works, Manhattan Fire Department, Code Services and Legal. There was also coordination with outside entities such as numerous utility companies and USD 383 Manhattan-Ogden Unified School District due to the project’s proximity to Manhattan High School.

Together with HTK Architects and the Kansas National Guard, a groundbreaking, cutting-edge $18.7 million headquarters in Topeka was designed and constructed. This visionary project represents a critical investment in modernizing infrastructure to better serve the Guard’s dual mission: safeguarding Kansas communities and contributing to national defense.

In 2023, BG Consultants, Inc. contracted the Sac and Fox Trad’n Post Gas Station and Convenience Store project. BG Consultants was contracted for the Civil/Site work as well as MEP for the proposed convenience store. 

BG Consultants was selected to perform professional services for a new 20,000 SF single story, type II-B construction facility for Bluestem Electric. The facility was designed to incorporated fleet vehicle storage and office environs. The building includes a 3,850 SF mezzanine.

In 2023, BG Consultants, Inc. contracted the KSU Livestock Competition Arena and Horse Unit project, located at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. BG Consultants provided the Civil/Site design services for the project. 

The project included 29,700 SY of gravel surfacing, 2,600 SY of concrete pavement, 2,800 LFT of curb and gutter, 130 LFT of retaining wall, and 3,155 LFT of storm sewer. Utility extensions included 1,370 LFT of water line and 275’ of sanitary service lines.

BG Consultants, Inc. partnered with BHS Construction on a design-build delivery for the new Control Service Company office. The 3,045 SF facility was constructed using wood-frame construction and provides a highly functional and efficient workspace tailored to the client’s operations. BG provided a full range of in-house services, including architectural design, structural engineering, MEP engineering, civil engineering, surveying, and construction staking.
