BG Consultants, Inc. was invited to bid on the architectural design of a new 4,800 sf EMS and Sheriff’s Office substation. This shared building includes a 2-bay ambulance garage, EMS living quarters, training area, and storm shelter on the EMS side. Two offices, one interview room, a meeting room, a storm shelter, and a entry vestibule with a bulletproof talk-window comprise the Sheriff’s Office and Community Center side. Both spaces have secure entries. The building itself is a pre-engineered metal building with an exterior skin comprised of split-face block and metal panels. Each entry has an overhang and is defined by color and contrasting signage.
