I started with the Background builders in Goldenwheat on white Card stock - make a design - I did 4 squares, then did a strip of them up and across the center of the first 4 (I stamped off for these ones so they would not over power the rest) I then stamped the deer from Natures greetings in black on top of the 4 squares. Layere that to a Black Card. take a strip of Mustard from the Classic Papers and wrinkle it up, Flatten it out and then rub the Goldenwheat pad over the top. The wrinkles will catch the ink pad and make it look like leather - I call this distressed paper - But I am sure there are other names for it. Now just attach that strip to you card! In the sample I had stamped the Happy fathers Day - And I liked it better before I did that!
