Oral Surgery Kansas was looking for a new location to house their growing practice. A local architecture firm working with the Owner reached out to BG Consultants to join the team providing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design services for the project.

The site identified was an existing 9,000 SF building that had originally housed a funeral home but had been vacant for a number of years. A previous remodel project had gutted much of the interior of the building before being canceled. BG Consultants assisted the design and construction team in evaluating the existing facility for reuse, and after pricing of the remodel costs against the desired outcomes for the facility, the decision was made to raze the existing building and rebuild new on the existing foundation and slab.

The new building includes high ceilinged, day lit spaces for the public waiting and reception area as well as the common staff areas back of house. Twelve procedure and treatment rooms are provided, as well as office and charting space for both medical and administrative staff. a dedicated laboratory space is included as well.
BG Consultants provided MEP Engineering design and support throughout construction. BG's design documents included fire alarm and fire suppression systems, and coordination with the Owner's vendors for medical gases systems and dental and surgical equipment. The facility opened in early 2024.
