Boyer Enterprises Retail Building on 3rd & Kearney

Manhattan, KS

BG Consultants worked in collaboration with Schultz Construction, Inc. to design and construct a 10,125 square foot retail building for Boyer Enterprises located in the heart of the Manhattan, KS business district. Standing at the corner of N 3rd St and Kearney St, the building features seven tenant spaces, designed to cater to a variety of businesses.

The pre-engineered steel building is cladded with a combination of honed cottonwood limestone, aluminum storefronts, metal paneling, and NichihaTM wood-look wall paneling, carefully selected to provide an inviting and modern appearance while ensuring durability and longevity. Canopies and awnings were incorporated into the design to demark the business entrances and provide shade along the pedestrian promenade for visitors, enhancing the building’s aesthetic appeal and providing a more comfortable experience for patrons.

BG Consultants and Schultz Construction, Inc. worked closely together throughout the entire project, from the initial planning and design stages to the final construction and completion of the building. The team was committed to providing the Owner with a building that was both visually appealing and functional. The high-quality materials and attention to detail in the design creates a facility that adds value to the local community and provides prime retail space for businesses to thrive. The seven tenant spaces in the building were designed to accommodate a diverse range of businesses, from small startups to larger established businesses. The layout was thoughtfully crafted to provide an efficient and flexible space that could easily be adapted to the needs of each individual tenant.

The design-build project delivery approach allowed for seamless communication and coordination between the design and construction teams, resulting in a streamlined and efficient process that ensured the project was delivered on time and within budget. Close collaboration between the design and construction teams allowed for any issues or challenges to be quickly identified and resolved, ensuring that the project was delivered to Boyer Enterprises' satisfaction and expectations.
